Postnovices offer their comprehensive exams for the young

Canlubang, Philippines, March 17, 2016  – Don Bosco said: “For you I study, for you I work, for you I live, for you I am even ready to five my life.” This has been the battle cry of the postnovices doing their two-year study at the Don Bosco Postnovitiate in Canlubang, Laguna (FIN).

Fr. Michael La Guardia, SDB together with Fr. Joel Camaya, SDB and Fr. Jake Adrian Lopez, SDB examined eight SDB students brothers together with their other classmates from another congregation. The first year postnovices were in full support with their presence and prayers.

The De Universa Philosophiae is one of the most awaited highlights in their philosophical studies. This comprehensive examination aims not only to expose their philosophical mastery but also to relate studied themes to the deepest questions of the young to whom they will be sent. Moreover, it is not only to develop a philosophical and critical mind but to prepare them to respond creatively the needs signs of the times where they will be sent.

As one of the formators in the Postnovitiate, I have seen that their sacrifices have paid off. All for the greater glory of God. Now, they are preparing to proceed to the next formative stage—Practical Training. God bless all of them.
