Strengthening FIN-FIS Ties on Education and Formation
Joint Meeting of FIN-FIS Provincial Council in Makati
Makati City, the Philippines, 17 October 2016—The Provincial Councils of the North and South Philippine Provinces held a joint meeting today at the FIN Provincial House to build more synergy and cooperation with regards to certain concerns that the two provinces have in common.
Among the many things discussed during this joint meeting were on Education and Formation. After some discussions, both provinces agreed to strengthen the One Salesian Education in the country through the Don Bosco Educational Centers (DBEC). It has also been decided to form a Curatorium for the Postnovitiate and the Novitiate as the two provinces share in these two stages of formation.
The two provinces decided to have this FIN-FIS joint meeting twice a year beginning 2017, one in the north and one in the south.
