Canlubang, Laguna, the Philippines, 9 November 2016 – Fr. Ivo Coelho, SDB, Councilor General for Formation, visited the Prenovitiate and Postnovitiate Formation Houses in Canlubang. First, he celebrated the morning Mass at the Diocesan Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians. Together with him was Fr. Silvio Roggia, SDB from the Formation Department. Afterwards, he ate breakfast with the community of the Prenovitiate, and then he had a talk with the aspirants and prenovices.
Later, he conducted a sharing with the Postnovices brothers, asking how they are doing in their experience of Spiritual Guidance in the Salesian life. The brothers, in turn, shared their insightful reflections to him. Fr. Ivo also reminded the Postnovices that the Postnovitiate is not only philosophate but more importantly a continuation of the novitiate. For his last words, he reminded the brothers not to get lost with so many things, but to be attentive to the presence of God.
