Postnovices Promote Salesian Vocation in DBTC Mandaluyong

Mandaluyong City, the Philippines, 11 November 2016—The Salesian Missions Day 2016 was commemorated by the Don Bosco Postnovitiate through Vocation Promotion Talks to students of Don Bosco Technical College Mandaluyong (DBTC). A Mass for the Memorial of St. Martin of Tours and for Vocations was attended by the students and teachers from Grade school, Junior High, and Senior High. The homily, delivered by Fr. Joji Inocentes, SDB (DBPN Economer), challenged the students to follow Christ. Later, Fr. Paul Suarez, SDB invited the students for Vocation Orientation Activities and Fr. Hardido Temesgen, SDB, a missionary from Ethiopia, promoted the Salesian Missions. The Postnovices, then, teamed up in pairs and shared their vocation stories to the Grades 9 and 10 students. A basketball match followed between the Junior High Varsity Team and the Postnovices during the lunch break. It resulted in a win by the agile and sharpshooting players of DBTC.
