This year, the Salesian Youth Movement of the FIN Province has welcomed the Bosconian Thomasian Youth Movement (BTYM), the first Bosconian alumni group to the family.
The BTYM is a university-wide religious organization in the University of Santo Tomas (UST). Known for living the Bosconian spirituality in the light of the Thomasian identity, the organization is able to live both the Salesian and the Dominican spiritualities.

The Preventive System of St. John Bosco and the 3 C’s of the University of Santo Tomas is the first amongst many. The Preventive System’s reason, religion, and loving kindness parallel’s UST’s competence, commitment, and compassion. These two identities complement each other.

The common love for the Pope and the Eucharist is another complementary trait that binds the two spiritualities together. That is why BTYM is also an extension of the Center of Campus Ministry in UST as they are always willing and ready to extend a helping hand in the events of the University that cater to the religious formation of its students.
Lastly, the common Love for our Blessed Mother. As Bosconians with a deep love for Mary and a devotion to the Holy Rosary, the organization’s devotion to our Blessed Mother flourished even more since they now also have the formation from the Dominicans, the congregation which our blessed Mother first gave the rosary to.
These are just a few of the many reasons why BTYM has been able to establish a home in UST for both Bosconians and Non-Bosconians alike. Not to mention the Dominican Friars who also happen to be Bosconians, but that is for another story.
