Bosconians Love Life: TVET Encounter 2017

It’s more than just fun and games.

Makati City, the Philippines, 13 March 2017—The TVET-TVL encounter held in Don Bosco Technical Institute, Makati from March 11-12 is both a celebration of the TVET communities’ diversity as well as their same identity as Bosconians.

Every year, the Bosconian TVET students spend weeks preparing for this much-awaited event. This annual event is an opportunity to showcase their athleticism and their creativity channeled through the sportsfest and the amazing race, and the cultural festival, respectively.

What made this year’s TVET Encounter even more special and meaningful is that this time, the TVET-TVL students from all the Don Bosco settings of the Philippine North Province are taking a stand against the prevailing culture of death in the Philippines.

“Hataw sa buhay ang Bosconians!” This was given emphasis by Fr. Armand Robleza, SDB, in his homily, which was concelebrated by TVET directors and spiritual moderators.

Indeed, this is a hopeful sign that not all millennials are apathetic towards this issue. That young people are expressing their desire for a just and upright governance.
