The Don Bosco TVET Center Tondo presents a Marian Musical entitled “Sanctissima: Miracle Stories in Tondo” in celebration of the heritage month and in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino last May 2 & 3, 2017.
The cast of the theatrical play were the trainees of Don Bosco TVET Center Tondo with the participation of a 7-year-old nephew of one of the teachers and together with some of the Lay Mission Partners of TVET Center. Fr. Dennis Paez, SDB, Spiritual Moderator of TVET spearheaded the Production and wrote the script of the said play. Meanwhile, Mr. Erick Borromeo directed the theatrical Play.
Sanctissima tells of the story of the miraculous intercession of Mary through the lives of Samuel, Isabel, Maxine, Paulo and Bert. Maxine works in a nightclub owned by the married couple Dinggay and Bert. Dinggay is the kind and understanding wife of Bert, a mean policeman obsessed with drug addicts. Isabel has terminal cancer and Samuel her husband is already losing his faith in God. Their son Paulo is the very optimistic boyfriend of Maxine. He has very strong faith in the Virgin Mary.
Their stories intersect and all experience the powerful intercession of the blessed mother in the three devotions to her that are endemic in the Philippines.
Three different stories about the Blessed Mother were portrayed, Nuestra Señora dela Paz Y Buen Viaje of Antipolo, Rizal, Nuestra Señora de Guia of Ermita and Our Lady of Caysasay in Taal, Batangas.
During the Gala Night, Fr. Gaudencio Carandang Jr., SDB, rector of Don Bosco Tondo gave the opening remarks. It was attended by the Salesians, members of the Salesian Family, benefactors, sponsors, Aspirants and young people. While Fr. Paul Bicomong, SDB Provincial of the Philippine North Province concluded with the traditional Good Night Talk.
