Legazpi City, the Philippines, 13 June 2020—Fr. Caesar Dizon, SDB, fondly called Fr. Dixie was installed as rector of DonBosco Legazpi.
Fr. Gerardo Martin, SDB, FIN Provincial Superior, delegated Fr. Ronilo ‘Javey’ Javines, SDB, outgoing rector of the Legazpi community, to install him. Newly installed rector of Don Bosco Naga, Fr. Abner Santos, SDB came to witness the event.
As a previous rector of the Salesian and Educative Pastoral communities of Don Bosco Technical Institute–Makati, and of Don Bosco College Seminary–Canlubang (when the college was still one with the pre-novitiate formation house), he is expected to bring a rich experience of experiential, pedagogical and pastoral wisdom.
He obtained his master’s degree at the Ateneo de Manila University and his Doctorate in Education from its archrival De La Salle University.
Fr. Dixie’s place of origin is in Balanga, Bataan but he grew up in Manila.
We accompany Fr. Dixie as he assumes the service of authority to his community.
