SALESIAN MISSIONARY IN FOCUS: Fr. Andrew Wong, SDB, the Provincial of Indonesia. He shared once with his novices that he wanted to go to China as a missionary but the Lord has other plans. He was sent to East Timor instead. He was there in the darkest moment of the fight for independence of East Timor with Indonesia and during the bloody civil war. He was brought back to our Province (FIN) to be our Provincial but after only 3 years, he was made Regional Superior of the East Asia Oceana region. After serving our region, he was made Provincial of Indonesia. May God reward his generosity in responding to His call to the missions in different capacities. May we all be like him, open to the challenging LOVE of God.
