LOCAL VOCATION TEAM ASSEMBLY HELD

Tagaytay City, the Philippines, 18-19 October 2022–In response to the challenge of the recent Provincial Chapter of the FIN Province, the vocation team of the Province organized the assembly of local vocation teams. The assembly aimed to renew the sense of vocational accompaniment and to establish in all communities a vocation team and a Seekers Group (PC2022 #1 & #2).
The vocation teams of each community came together for their formation and their planning. The first day was dedicated to the formation on Spiritual Accompaniment, which was facilitated by Fr. Jake Lopez, SDB (Rector of Don Bosco Prenovitiate Seminary). Fr. Jake led the assembly on skills and gave tips on spiritual accompaniment. Afterward, each of the Salesian houses was given time to present the situation and progress of their vocation promotion activities. The day ended with the Eucharistic Celebration.
The second day began with the Eucharistic celebration. The session began with the presentation of the Survey on Vocation, which was conducted by Don Bosco Technical Institute-Makati. Fr. Jay David presented the elements that could be placed in the vocation plans of the houses. The planning and organization of the vocation teams followed. The planning phase ended with the submission of the draft plans to the vocation team of the Province. Other activities of the Vocation program were announced at the end of the session.
